New facility and expanded program will empower families with children experiencing homelessness toward sustainable independence. The Day Center is the crucial hub for families enrolled in the program, offering essential amenities with dignity, including showers, laundry services, and a reliable mailing address. It is also where families meet with a dedicated Family Success Specialist to create a personalized plan for achieving stable independence, which includes support for employment and access to community resources.



The new Day Center will also enable Family Promise to launch its rotational shelter program, leveraging local houses of worship to provide safe, overnight lodging for families with children.



"Family homelessness is a crisis that often goes unseen, but it deeply affects our community," said Lauren Amellal, Executive Director. "This year alone, without a Day Center, our organization has already prevented 40 families from losing their place of residence and have helped move five families from literal homelessness into their own apartments. All of them we follow up with months of stabilization services. With the Day Center, we can now provide an even more robust and dignified support system for our neighbors in crisis."
